SCIENCE CIRCUS at the Powerhouse Museum Discovery Centre this weekend

http://castlehill.powerhousemuseum.com/open-weekend/

16-17 August: Science of chocolate, making icecream with liquid nitrogen, and fiery circus performances.

Entry is free to Powerhouse members and children aged 3 and under. Otherwise $8 adult, $5 concession, $5 child, $25 family (2 adults and 2 children).

This is the last open weekend at the Powerhouse Museum Discovery Centre in Castle Hill, before it closes for a redesign. We have been to their open weekends before and although it is a drive for some of us, I think it is well worth it. All museums have so many more objects in their collections than they can ever display in the permanent exhibitions, and the Powerhouse is no exception.

Given my fondness for activities involving food, I am going to try to make sure our family gets to the centre on at least one day, probably Sunday.

Please visit the link above for more details on the activities. I advise booking in advance for the workshops and tours.
